FAMILY PICTS

Family pictures- it’s one of those love/hate days right?? You know what I’m talking about… making sure the kids get their naps on time, crossing your fingers you’re having a good hair day, running to the closest gas station to pick up candy (tic tacs or sweet tarts in our case) to bribe for smiles. There can be a lot of prep work and planning that goes into these days, but the end result is so worth it. I’m always looking forward to our next “photo shoot” & so look forward to new & improved shots to hang up on our walls. If you ask my husband, he’d probably tell you we take pictures far too often. But if you ask me, we can never take enough. I’m a little picture obsessed… but for good reason. Every once in a while I’ll pull out our laptop and browse through the hundreds upon hundreds of pictures we have taken, reminiscing and remembering all of the good times we’ve shared as a family, until I realize I’ve been “browsing” for hours. But that’s why I love pictures… they take you back to remembering the good times in life. Sure, there’s life’s crazy happenings in between all of those sweet moments, but it’s the good ones I want to remember and reflect on in years to come.

This particular day was no different from the examples mentioned above. Of course nap time was crazy and we were racing around the house getting the kids ready while trying to manage to look half way decent ourselves (moms, you know exactly what I’m talking about!) It was a whopping 100 degrees out
& the kids weren’t having it! Even Brooks, aka Mr. smiley, was protesting from the get go. However, with an amazing photographer and candy galore, we managed to get some of my new favorite pictures… our first family shoot with all four of us…
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to Mary Fotography for capturing these shots… You are one talented lady and I was amazed at your ease behind the camera!
P.s. I had to include picture #7 to give you a visual to my above ramblings… It made me laugh. It’s not always rainbows & butterflies…
