Gratitute. It’s what brings the right perspective back into your life. Naturally I’ve been thinking a lot about this subject as Thanksgiving is right around the corner. For me, it can be something as simple as taking 5-10 minutes in the morning to sit, be still, and meditate on all of the ways the Lord has blessed me in this sometimes overwhelming life we can find ourselves in. Life may be crazy… actually, let’s be real- life is almost always crazy (particularly in my season of life)… there’s really no break to it. But taking the time to think (whenever that is, even if it means the 2 min potty break moms 😉 and reset, will bring you back to a more realistic and positive outlook on your life. It ALWAYS turns my selfish, want want want attitude into contentment and an inner peace. And the best part about it? It’s always there. The reality of the outpouring of blessings upon your life is always there. The challenge is in our discipline to remind ourselves of it daily. I love how such a simple action can be completely life transforming. It makes you view life differently, treat others differently, and feel differently. The fulfillment you gain from being a thankful person is irreplaceable. We’ve all heard it before, but it’s always good to be reminded to bring you back right where you need to be… thankful.
