What a weekend we had at the The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. My husband has been eyeing this hotel for quite some time so we were super excited to check it out for a few days with the family!
Let me start out by saying that I was a little bit nervous taking our three (typically wild like most children) kids to a hotel of this stature. It has a very relaxed, slow paced feel to it, so I wasn’t quite sure how it was going to turn out taking our little ones. However, we were quite surprised by how many families were there! Lots of little ones running around the lawn, roasting marshmallows with their family by the fire pits, and swimming at the nearby pool. It definitely made us feel right at home.
There’s no denying this place is absolutely stunning everywhere you turn. From the building’s architecture to the immaculate property to the stunning views, you definitely get the vibe of a five star resort. We were also extremely impressed by the staff’s customer service. Top notch! I have to admit that I probably have higher expectations than most people when it comes to Customer Service. I feel like it says so much about a business or a person when you represent yourself well.
The beach is about 1/4 of a mile walk from the hotel. This is probably one of the most stunning path ways you will walk. I shared a few pictures below so you can get a feel for just how gorgeous of a view it is. The picture of my daughter and I standing on the cliff was taken along this path as well as the picture of my son walking back to the resort from the beach. STUNNING, right?! It looks like a castle placed in one of the most gorgeous settings!
We mostly hung out at the hotel during our stay as there are quite a few family friendly activities to choose from. Swimming, exploring, eating at their on-site restaurants, sitting by the fire pits, building sandcastles at the beach to name a few.
If you’re looking for a place to stay in Half Moon Bay, I highly highly recommend the Ritz.
Below are quite a few pics of our time there…
