I’m nearing the end of my 29th week which means less than 10 weeks away until baby boy!!! I can hardly believe it. I feel like it’s flown by! In some ways I am totally ready and in other ways, not so much. One way that I’m completely & 100% ready? My body 😉 Can I be real with you for a second? I’ve gained the most weight (up to this point in my pregnancy) with this little guy and I’m starting to feel like a big blob. I know I have to be careful what I say or how I word things because obviously everything I put out here is for you to read and digest however you see fit. However, at the end of the day, we are all girls, and we all understand what it feels like to not look like your usual self or feel comfortable in your own skin. Which brings me to the title of this post – why you need to invest into hats & lipstick. Why?Because, let’s face it, when you’re not feeling your best… you find tricks to help you feel a little more pretty or put together. This is where hats & lipstick come in. I’m hooked. Destiny Thompson (one of my fellow blogger friends 😉 from www.trulydestiny.com inspired me to try colored lips (as she rocks it so effortlessly) and now it’s my go-to for most days. I also love finding a good hat (panama style is my current favorite) that is versatile and mixes well with various outfits. Hats can be worn with a dressy or casual look depending on the style. So my tip of advice if you’re feeling a little blah? Invest into one (or both) of these items. I’ve included some of my favorites below in case you need some ideas.
Favorite lip colors by MAC: Flat Out Fabulous (#1), Cyber, Heroine, Ruby Woo, Velvet Teddy, Japanese Maple, Brave, Candy Yum Yum, Creme Cup, Diva, Fabby, Russian Red, Snob, Rebel, Whirl
But as much as I am ready to get back to my pre-preggo body… little Jude is most likely our last and final baby so I am soaking up every little (or big 😉 kick and everything that comes with the bonding between mama & baby. There’s really nothing more miraculous than the whole process behind conception to birth. I am amazed by all of the intricate detail involved and know that he is nothing short of a miracle. I can’t wait to meet & kiss his sweet face!!!!
Also- if you’re reading this and are preggo, I’m sure I’ve convinced you by now that these leggings are an absolute staple in your maternity wardrobe! & for $28, they are a steal! Not to mention, these shoes (JUST re-stocked in all sizes!) I’m slightly obsessed with which is why I wear them in every other picture I post… sorry not sorry. You need them in your life- promise!

January 21, 2016Oh I feel ya! 31 weeks and I’m a struggling to feel good in anything except sweats and the husband’s shirts! I think all pregnancies, at some point, have to get to the point of “over it” while still being in awe at the miraculousness of what our bodies can do! So ready to meet my little guy, but also, he can cook a little longer. I’ll survive 🙂
Did you order your normal size in the leggings or a size or two up?

January 21, 2016lol. I’m with you all the way! I sized up but could have probably gone with my normal size.. honestly either will probably work. They run longer which is why I would have liked to stick with my normal size (medium, but got a large)

January 21, 2016Love this so much!! My bright lips always make me feel so much more fancy even with distressed skinnies and cute simple tees. I feel the same way you do about this third pregnancy! At my 8 weeks appointment I had gained about 15 pounds!! Went back today and lost 11, not really sure how but I’ll take it!! I think you look absolutely amazing and beautiful! You are such an inspiration to me through this surprise pregnancy!
