The Loafer Look

I put up a pic of these (faux) fur loafers a few weeks back on my Instagram and got mixed reviews (as I totally expected 😉 ) – Not going to lie… I was on the fence about them, too, when I first saw them on Cara Loren (very well-known/successful fashion blogger). I literally pointed them out to my husband and said ‘who the heck would buy these let alone wear them?’ Weelllll fashion has a way of coming around doesn’t it?! Because I follow a lot of high-end fashion bloggers, I’ve seen several of these women wear the real ones (made by Gucci) here and there and I have to say that the loafer trend has slowly but surely grown on me. Slip-on loafers are huge right now in the fashion world and I don’t see them going anywhere for a while. The faux fur? Well, I’ve always had a thing for faux fur so I actually loved that part of the shoe as soon as I saw it.

There are many different ways to style slip-on loafers and they’d be a perfect addition to any Spring wardrobe (right around the corner- YAY!). Dress them up, dress them down… pair them with basics or prints. Honestly, the possibilities are endless. Another way I’m thinking of styling them (not pictured below), is with a basic, casual t-shirt and denim skirt…. SO CUTE! You’ll be seeing denim skirts a whole lot more this Spring/Summer as well.
