Coronado Trip Recap

My husband and I had the opportunity recently to visit the famous and luxurious Hotel Del Coronado. It was every bit of amazing to say the least. Gorgeous views, great service, chic dining, and obviously an absolutely beautiful beach we frequented a few times during our stay. I call it famous because the Del has been around for nearly 130 years and one of the things I loved most about this place is that they have let the history remain in various ways. From their (original) rod iron elevator to the architecture of the buildings to black/white prints of various Hollywood stars that have stayed there, there is a historic feel that is so cool about this place. They’ve woven in the historic with the new and improved perfectly. We even got to know “Andrew”, the Elevator attendant, who has been with them for close to 40 years. A sweet man with a willing and helpful attitude.

Most of our stay consisted of laying around, taking pictures (of course) around every picturesque corner, frequenting their ice cream shop, and soaking up the time away just my husband and I. We also spent the day at Fashion Valley, a STUNNING out door mall. If there is any place you can get away with an outdoor shopping mall, it’s San Diego! Talk about a gorgeous destination! They have over 200 stores and are one of the largest malls in California. We had an amazing day and were pampered to say the least! From facials at Origins, to lunch at Neiman Marcus, Make up at MAC, and the list goes on. What I love about this mall particularly is the mix between low and high fashion. There are a number of stores you would find at any local mall mixed with higher end stores such as Gucci and Neiman Marcus. They really cater to all ages/genres and you just can’t beat the coastal feel.

Thank you Hotel Del Coronado & Fashion Valley Mall for hosting us. We had an unbelievable time to say the least!
