National Lipstick Day… really??! I know what you’re thinking. There must be a “holiday” out there for everything! But really it was a great reason/excuse for me to throw together some of my favorite beauty products to share with you. I know for me, I LOVE finding a new beauty product that makes me think “How did I ever live without this?” The downside to scoring a new find is in the first step, the risk of buying (& testing), when you’re just not sure if you’re throwing your money down the drain or investing into something life changing. Hopefully these tips will be the latter for ya. So here they are, starting with the most obvious, my (current) favorite lipstick perfect for Summa-time:
This stuff really works! I am EXtremely picky when it comes to hairspray… extremely! My friends have always made fun of me for “sexying up” (as they would say) my hair, about 5, maybe 10 times a day 😉 Okay, I’m exaggerating a little but you get my point. I like big hair. And if you do too, or you just like a really firm hold- this stuff is it! & yes, I’ve tried Kenra (one of the most popular, if not THE most popular hair spray), about a million times, and I always find myself coming back to Big & Sexy.
I LOVE this stuff. It’s a bit more on the pricey side for something as “basic” as eyeshadow primer, but let me tell you, it makes all the difference. Not only will your eyeshadow last all.day.long, it will appear brighter and flat out better from the get go. I can’t recommend this enough! BUY IT!
Every woman needs this for those lazy days at home or simply those days you just don’t feel like dressing to the nines. I’ve tried a few tinted moisturizers and this one is my absolute fav. Why? It covers well, moistens well, and lasts for hours; a little goes a long way! And the best part- you can find it at your local Target!
p.s. I often see mobile coupons from Target for Sonia Kashuk items so keep an eye out!
Foundation Primer. Do I really need it? YES! you do. It makes allllllll the difference; your foundation will go on more smoothly & it will last all day! I recommend either Tarte (this one) or Smashbox… You can’t go cheap on primer in my opinion. You get what you pay for.
I’ve already shared this on my Insta-feed BUT I had to share again in case you missed it. This is HANDS DOWN the best mascara on the market AND it’s only $5 (maybe $6?) at Target (a little more pricey at Ulta or drugstores). I’ve capitalized a few too many words in this paragraph already… are you sensing my passion??
One of my friends sells Mary Kay and begged me to try their best selling mascara, so I did. No comparison- the price or the product.
(I received a tip recently to combine this along with Loreal Telescopic mascara. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet but wanted to give you the inside scoop, too.)
This concealer IS amazing, but really the brand is “Amazing”. You get what you pay for here. This stuff covers like no bodies business and a little goes a LONG way. My tube will probably last me at least a year. For those mommy under-the-eye bags, this concealer does the trick! I promise. Just give it a try.
If you’re like me and have very fine hair, this creme is for you! Along with Big & Sexy Hairspray, this is my other go-to hair care miracle. It helps thicken and give your roots a lift without that stiff texture a lot of mousses/sprays can do. Again, I’ve tried a lot of similar products on the market and am convinced this is the best one out there! Hope you’re just as convinced.
