What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the sale of all sales every year. Why?! For a limited time, brand new Fall/Winter styles (included lots of well known name brands) are marked down at majorly discounted prices. These aren’t un-wanted pieces that have been sitting on the shelves, these are brand new Fall/Winter styles on sale for a limited time only. Prices go back up following the sale. Although it can feel a little odd buying winter coats/booties/Fall finds in the midst of Summer, these are key pieces that you will find yourself wearing regularly come Fall. And because these pieces are brand new, you know you are buying what’s trending for the upcoming seasons.

When is the sale?

Early Access

Starts July 12, 2018

Ends July 19, 2018

Public Access

Starts July 20, 2018

Ends August 5, 2018

What is Early Access? How can I shop then? 

Early Access is a time frame where only Nordstrom cardholders can shop the Anniversary Sale. The card has no annual fees and you will receive a $40 bonus note when you make any purchase on your new card the day that you’re approved. If approved, you can sign in to access your card online and start shopping right away.

The key benefit to shopping early access is everything (including those highly popular items) will be available to shop before sizes are limited or it sells out. I say that because it is very likely the most popular pieces can/will sell out during this time period. It’s proven to be true the past couple of years. It is possible that items will be re-stocked during the sale, however, we aren’t given any insider knowledge. We know just as much as you. And that is to buy it if you want it because it might not come back 🙂

Shopping Tips 

My number one tip for shopping the sale: If you like it, BUY IT! As I mentioned above, once it’s gone, it might be gone for good. I would even recommend buying something in a few sizes if you aren’t sure which way to go. Nordstrom’s return policy is top notch so you shouldn’t have a problem returning anything that doesn’t fit or you change your mind on. They provide a prepaid shipping label for all returns so they really do try and make it as easy as possible.

On that note, if you plan on shopping the sale, I recommend hopping online and shopping right away! I will have HUGE sale guides posted on my blog both opening days of the sale, July 12 & 20, along with other round-ups here and there to help make your shopping a little easier and to obviously show you all what I personally love and have bought. I will also be sharing TONS on my stories throughout the sale. If there is a re-stock on a popular item, I will most likely post it to my stories (as that is the easiest and most efficient way of posting quickly) so I would try and check back as often as you can!
