Sunnie Days

We have sure enjoyed a few (too many) sunny days this Summer. I think we’ve been playing out in the sun or in the water at least 4/7 days a week. It’s what gets all the wiggles out and keeps us happy 🙂

My daughter is absolutely obsessed with everything you can accessorize with, including sunnies. Anything pink, sparkly, or sure to gain attention and she’s sporting it! Meet these sunnies from Polaroid– she fell in love with the pink ones of course, but they double in amazingness as they also help protect her eyes from the sun.

Here are a few facts I learned from Eyecessorize (A non-profit organization that educates consumers on the fashion and lifestyle aspects of eyewear).

• 65% of children spend two or more hours per day on a digital device, putting a strain on their eyes
• About 14 million children (and teens) require prescription glasses
• Children receive about three times the annual amount of UV exposure from the sun than adults, yet only 29% of children wear sunglasses.
