Thanksgiving brought lots of fun, new memories for our little family this year. We traveled to Southern California (Orange County area) where all of my extended family lives. We always have so much fun every time we reunite and get together with them. You know those families that are big, loud, and somewhat obnoxious?? That’s us 😉 (I LOVE YOU ALL! 😉
Traveling to this area also meant we had to visit THE happiest place on earth. It was Brooklyn’s first time and Ella’s first time that she would remember (we took her when she was a year and a half and let’s just say it didn’t go very smooth- the “terrible ones” {I’m making it a thing if it’s not officially one already} were in full effect).
I’ve never been what I call a “Disney freak”. I’ve been to Disneyland more times than I can count, year after year as a kid, yet for some reason it’s never stood out as a memorable part of my childhood years.
Fast forward to last week, when everything changed. Watching Disneyland through my kids eyes has changed my whole perspective on that place! I want to go back, like tomorrow! I shared bits and pieces of our trip on Instagram (Mamamelly5), including the magical ending for my husband and I. We……….. cried 🙂 Something about our family cuddled up in one spot on Main St. after a long, fun-filled day while watching our kids faces light up at the fireworks show and “snow” shortly after with emotional, heartwarming music playing in the background……..yeah- we were toast! We both looked at each other and tried denying it 😉 It was one of those moments I will forever remember. It sealed the deal on making me a believer again… a believer in the magic of Disney 🙂
Here’s a little re-cap of our trip through pics…
